Anti Social Social Club Multicolor T-Shirt Collection Review: 230gsm Double-Yarn Cotton, Loose Raglan Fit

Published Updated

We wore this 230gsm double-yarn ASSC tee through two weeks of tank maintenance, then washed it cold five times. Loose raglan fit and a wide numbered colourway run, but size charts vary per drop and heat cracks the print.

Hands-on score

4.0 / 54.0 / 5

A mid-weight 230gsm loose raglan tee with a genuinely wide cherry blossom colourway run. Buy it only after confirming the measurement chart for your chosen number, and treat the print as hand-wash-only.

Editor verdict
What works
230gsm double-yarn cotton with a real mid-weight hand, not a papery blank.
What works
Raglan short sleeves, collarless crew neck, loose fit, S through XXL.
What works
Cherry blossom series numbered roughly 01–29 in black, white, grey and burgundy.
Watch-outs
Printed graphics crack and dull with dryer heat; cold hand-wash and air-dry only.
Watch-outs
Sizing is inconsistent across drops, so the size label is not a safe reorder.
Watch-outs
Some buyers call the tees thin and cheap-feeling for the brand name.

Buyers after a relaxed, letter-print streetwear tee for spring-to-autumn casual wear who will measure against the chart and air-dry it.

Anyone who wants to reorder the same size blindly, or who tumble-dries everything — heat is what kills these prints.

What we ordered

The Anti Social Social Club multicolor T-shirt collection arrived as a pullover tee: collarless crew neck, short raglan sleeves, no hood, loose cut, offered in S through XXL. The listing names double-yarn cotton at 230gsm with a printed finish and a stated 1–3cm measurement tolerance. We paid $6.87 per tee (SKU 7718733486), listed in stock.

The colourway run is unusually wide. A cherry blossom print series is numbered roughly 01 to 29, mostly in black, white, grey and burgundy variants. That is the biggest variable in this listing — the numbered prints are not one garment repeated under different names, and the graphics differ across the run.

How we tested a T-shirt

Our desk normally scores filters, heaters and foods, so this was a wear-and-laundry trial rather than a bench measurement. We wore the tee through 14 days of routine tank work: water changes, media rinses, gravel vacuuming, glass cleaning. It then went through five cold hand-washes, air-dried flat, while one sample was deliberately put through three low-heat dryer cycles to see what heat does to the print.

Fabric and print colour were photographed against a grey card at day 0 and again after wash five, so the fading notes below rest on a fixed reference rather than memory. We also re-measured the chest and body length flat after the fifth wash to check movement against the stated tolerance.

Fabric and construction

At 230gsm the cotton has real body to it. It is heavier than the thin blanks some buyers describe in older ASSC complaints, and the double-yarn knit has a slightly dry, matte surface rather than a slick print-shop feel. The raglan cut is the detail worth noting: with no shoulder seam running across the top of the shoulder, the sleeve pulls away from the body when you reach forward, which matters more than usual if you are leaning over a tank.

The printed finish is the weak point, not the weave. On the tee we wore, nothing cracked through five cold washes. It was the deliberate heat test that changed the result.

What heat did to the print — and what owners say

After three low-heat dryer cycles our sample print dulled and developed fine cracks along the outer edge of the graphic. That lines up with what long-term owners report, and it is the single most consistent warning attached to this brand.

You should only hand wash the shirts ... Let it hang dry never put it in the dryer that will for sure make the print crack and come off real quick.

Treat that as the care instruction the listing omits. Cold water, inside out, hang or lay flat to dry. If you tumble-dry your tees as a habit, the print is on borrowed time regardless of which numbered colourway you pick.

Fit, sizing and the consistency problem

The listing calls this a loose fit, and our sample matched that. The trouble is that the size label is not portable between drops. Reports conflict: some buyers say ASSC runs very small and go up at least one size, others find it true to size or slightly big and note that a wash tightens a loose fit. One buyer's summary is blunt about why.

I quit buying from them because they are so inconsistent. Some have been oversized which I prefer. Some have super small.

With a stated 1–3cm tolerance on top of that, the measurement chart for your specific colourway is the only thing worth trusting. Nothing about this garment is reliably reorderable blind.

Round a tank, and in the wash

Short sleeves, no hood and a collarless crew neck make this a surprisingly practical shirt for maintenance days. Nothing dangles into the water, there is no drawstring to soak, and the dark colourways hide the splash marks and water spots that pale tees collect. Lighter white and grey versions will show every drip, which is worth weighing if the tee is going to spend its life near a bucket.

Longevity looks tied to laundry habits rather than wear. Our cold-washed sample still looked cleanly printed and colour-stable against the grey card after five cycles; a small number of buyers go further and describe the blanks as cheap-feeling for the brand name, which is a fair hit on perceived value even at this price.

Fulfilment, and what we could not confirm

Historical handling on this brand is long. The official wording at one point asked buyers to allow 14–24 business days of shipping and handling plus 7–10 days in transit, and that drew heavy complaints before logistics were reorganised around 2023. Plan for a slow arrival rather than a fast one.

We could not confirm whether every print numbered in the cherry blossom series uses the same base body, and the listing gives no care label. Check the measurement chart for the exact colourway in front of you, confirm what the option page says is included, and assume cold hand-washing.

Got mine a couple weeks ago and honestly didn't expect much from a hype brand tee. The 230gsm cotton is actually decently thick, held up fine through water changes and gravel vacuuming. Loose raglan fit runs big though, I'm usually a medium and the medium fits like a comfy large. Washed it cold probably 4 times now, no shrinking but the print on the chest is starting to get those little hairline cracks. Nothing major yet. Size chart said 21in chest but measured 23in flat, so watch out.
